A Reenactment at a Festival? How does that work?
The Ashville Viking Festival is unique in that in addition to the festival atmosphere, we also include a reenactment timeline. All historical reenactors are welcome and encouraged to share their impressions with an audience that may not have ever experienced a reenactment of any type.
Organized by date, we obviously feature Viking era, but also include military and civilian impressions throughout history. The timeline is positioned along the edge of the festival area, and participants are encouraged to join the Warriors' Timeline talk, the Women's Talk (it's not just about clothing), and to perform ongoing demonstrations at their camp site.
If you area blanket trader or vendor, you MUST be juried through the Vendor Acceptance Team. There are no exceptions.
